奥古斯特·迪赫曾就读于柏林著名的恩斯特·布士演员艺术高等学院(Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch)，期间出演多部舞台剧，18岁时在学校的戏剧舞台上演出席勒的戏剧《强盗》中的Franz Mohr一角获得好评。之后又凭借影片《23》获得巴伐利亚州和德国电影奖的新人奖，可以说他的表演才华从一开始就得到众人肯定。2000年毕业后，他出演并参与编剧了马可·科因茨沛恩纳的奇幻短片《水中艺术家》，事后证明他们的确是当今德国影坛最具才华的年轻一代。 　　颇具音乐天赋的迪赫外表散发纤弱敏感的艺术家气息，他的表演却总是爆发力十足，在同龄演员中脱颖而出。他曾与多位新锐导演合作，出演过彼得·泽尔改编自王朔小说的《爱得太辛苦》、汉斯-克里斯坦·施密特的《远处的光》、玛赛琳·罗里丹·埃文斯的《白桦林》等，并和沃尔克·施隆多夫合作《第九日》，这些作品都在国际电影节上收到肯定。2004年的《想象之爱》中，迪赫优雅执着的演绎让凭借《再见列宁》红遍亚洲的丹尼尔·布鲁赫显得有些稚嫩。他还出演了改编自席勒名著的电视电影《阴谋与爱情》，在安德里亚斯·克莱纳特的《畅游者》中扮演了一位音乐教师。2006年他被《Gala》杂志评为“当今德国最重要的演员”，名至实归地，他主演的《伪钞制造者》摘得了2007年的奥斯卡最佳外语片奖。

Susanne grew up close to Vienna, Austria. Right after high school she started working at the prestigious "Volkstheater" in Vienna. On the big screen she gained international attention with a leading part in the feature "Antares".

'Antares' (dir: Goetz Spielmann) not only became Austria's submission for the Academy Awards in 2005 (Best Foreign Language Film), but was also invited to more than 30 International Film Festivals and got her nominated 'Best Young Leading Actress/Drama' for the European Young Talent Award "Undine" in 2005.

She has continued working with various acclaimed directors since then, such as Wolfgang Becker, Olivier Assayas, Jessica Hausner, Anders Ronnow Klarlund, Franz Xaver Kroetz and Peter Kern.
