Inspired by a true story: In 1984, Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her two Sikh bodyguards, causing anti-Sikh riots to erupt throughout the country. A teacher traveling back from a field trip with her class of 10-year-old students struggles to protect Kush, the only Sikh student in the class, from the growing violence around him.

更多评论一切镜头都是诗意的，慢慢的引入整个故事，大背景下小人物的悲欢离合。
导演大学毕业的作品，威尼斯首映。剧中最喜欢的有两处场景。第一个是Kush被问问题的时候有两个孩子开始打架，第二个是结尾。采访的时候我问导演，那两个孩子是不是故意的，他拒绝回答我这个问题。
绝对的平等也许永远不会实现，但是平等永远值得人类去不屑追寻。
